Tennis Top Man Rafael Nadal enjoys a little time away from the courts in his hometown together with his girlfriend Xisca at the Beach in Spain. Much Respect Rafa, you deserve a break!

After becoming second place to the Wimbledon tournament for a few weeks, it's no surprise Maria Francisca Perello looked delighted to be cuddling up to Rafael Nadal on a Spanish beach.
And in a teeny bikini it's safe to say the tennis star's girlfriend is no longer staying out of the limelight.

You’re all fooled if you think he has an actual wedgie to pick, this is just one of his many distraction tactics employed to confuse and ultimately break down his opponent. The tight shorts shorts and revealing tidy whities are a mean to an end. An ultimate end where he humiliate the other player on live national television.

Tennis is war, fought on various turfs and Nadal is the Sun Tzu of the court. Normally, during his matches, Nadal will play it coy and pretend to be under pressure, he will give up the first set. The trap is then set and classic Nadal I&D (Intimidation & Distractions) tactics will come into play.

First he will innocently pick his wedgie to distract his opponent, not sure what’s going on over on the other side of the court, his opponent is probably thinking, wow poor guy, the pressure must be getting to him, he’s picking his wedgie in public and not even realizing it. Before he ever got the chance to finish the thought Nadal had already taken the first game. The games now stand a 1-0 with Nadal leading. At the start of game two Nadal will pull out his ace and throw in an orgasmic groan after every shot that connect. At this point his opponent is totally distraught, WTF is going on ? he was just picking his wedgie and now he’s having an orgasm every time he return a shot, are we playing tennis or are we engaging in violent buttseck ? Yet again, another game won without much effort. The score now stand at 2-0.

It get worse from then on, knowing that he had broken his opponent’s concentration Nadal will bring out his “A” game and proceed to utterly destroy him, winning in straight sets, game after game.

What does Nadal do when the match is over and another opponent defeated ? He DOES NOT graciously shake the other player’s hand. No Nadal celebrate with style…

MONTREAL - Rafael Nadal lost his number two ranking to Andy Murray Saturday as the Scot beat France’s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-4, 7-6 (10-8) for a place in the finals of the Montreal
Masters.

Murray’s victory means the 23-year-old will stand second in Monday’s ATP ranking list behind Roger Federer for the best showing of his career.

Nadal, beaten in the Montreal quarter-finals Friday by Argentine Juan Del Potro, took over number one from Federer last August before the Beijing Olympics but lost it after being beaten in the French Open fourth round by Robin Soderling.

It marks the first time in four years that someone other than Federer or Nadal has entered the top two on the ranking list.

Australian Lleyton Hewitt moved to second behind Federer in July 2005 for a brief period.

Murray holds the highest ranking ever for a British player.

These pictures of some of the best male tennis players in the world is a perfect segue to discussing the Wimbledon men’s draw. Hey, wait a minute…

On the Men’s side, history could be made by SwissZilla winning his fifth straight Wimbledon championship, tying Bjorn Borg for the most consecutive wins in modern history. He is certainly at the peak of his career, winning every major tournament over the past three years, except for the two French Open finals he lost to Rafael Nadal. Roger’s game is nothing less than majestic in its dominance. Jack Kramer, one of the legends of tennis (I never knew that Seinfeld’s neighbor had such talent) says “I have never seen anyone play the game better than Federer. He serves well and has a great half-volley. I’ve never known anyone who can do as many things on a court as he can.” What Kramer does not mention, and one of the things that makes Federer a truly impressive champion, is Roger’s ability to raise the level of play when challenged by an opponent.

The Spanish attack (honestly, when have the Spanish ever attacked since Franco?) is led by Rafael Nadal, the hot young Mallorcan with guns. (Between the picture of Federer’s body hair and that last comment about Nadal, I’m starting to get concerned.) He is the only player on the circuit that has been able to beat Roger multiple times over the past two years. Nadal is the master of clay, never losing at the French Open, and he made it to the finals in Wimbledon last year. He might be Roger’s nemesis, but it is unlikely he can beat Roger on grass. Despite his incredible foot speed and court coverage, Nadal’s huge topspin game lacks the power serve, the variety, or the net game to win on grass.

I can’t believe that I actually have some insight here, but here goes. Wimbledon’s grass has become markedly slower in the last few years. That makes Nadal’s transition from clay a bit easier.

The USA does not have a real contender. Andy Roddick, who won the US Open once, has been completely outclassed and outplayed by Federer. Andy has just two clubs in his golf bag, a driver and a putter versus a full fourteen clubs for Federer. It would surprise me if Roddick even makes it to the quarters. And Roddick is probably the best of the American players. We all hope Blake, the Harvard wonder boy, can rise up to the next level but we haven’t seen it yet.

Russia has the some of the best raw talent in players like Marat Safin, Nikolay Davidenko, and Mikhail Youzhney, but none have had the consistency to be real contenders at Wimbledon. There are some interesting hopefuls out of various far flung places such as Cyprus (Baghdatis), Argentina (Nalbandian), Croatia (Ancic) and Germany (Haas), but they are all merely SwissZilla bait on grass! (Here we go with those exclamation points again!)

So sit back, enjoy the strawberries and cream while imagining what the Siberian Screamer sounds like in person!

The clock has finally struck midnight on the modern day Cinderella known as Melanie Oudin as she has been defeated in straight sets by #9 seed Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark 6-2, 6-2.
Perhaps deep down we all suspected that Oudin's fairy tale run could not possibly continue all the way into the final (perhaps even a championship?!), yet her play over the past 10 days had us all "believing" that maybe, just maybe, the impossible was indeed possible with a run to the quarterfinal that defied all expectations.
While the otherwise bubbly 17 year old from Marietta, GA with the feisty backcourt game had American tennis fans buzzing for one brief, shining moment with thoughts of a dream final where she would perhaps face off against either Kim Clijsters - who has been on a tear since returning to the tour in the past month, or Serena Williams who is seeking her second consecutive US Open crown, it was not to be for Oudin or her now legions of fans as the 19 year old Wozniacki proved to be too steady in the end.

  • Melanie Oudin photos of previous upsets

Showing poise well beyond her years playing in front of a crowd of 20,000+ fans all cheering for her American opponent, the #9 seed came into tonight's matchup leading the tour in victories (60) and in matches played (77) for the season, and being able to draw from so much match experience most certainly helped her to push through to the semifinals. She took few risks electing instead to play percentage tennis, and the strategy proved successful as it was Oudin (playing in her first prime time match at the US Open), who became rattled and saw the forehand which had carried her through the first four rounds desert her tonight.

Wozniacki will next face off against fellow 19 year old Yanina Wickmayer of Belgium, who advanced to the semifinal with a straight sets win earlier this afternoon 7-5, 6-4 over Kateryna Bondarenko of the Ukraine.

Afterwards Oudin thanked the crowd for having gotten her through so many matches, and while the result tonight was not what she hoped for there is no doubt that a star has been born which will shine brightly for years to come. Oudin is a member of the US Federation Cup squad which will be squaring off against Italy in November for the 2009 championship, and if she is able to sustain the level of play we've seen from her over the past 10 days, there is every reason to "believe" that she will lead the US team to the prestigious title.

So, there's this rumor that The Big Lead caught wind of, which is rather vague, but essentially there are some writers out there trying to land a publishing deal for an unauthorized Brett Favre biography, featuring his drug addiction and extra-marital affairs.
Before I begin my wild speculation of what each chapter will detail, we are all well aware of Favre's adultery, when he professed his love to that one blonde girl at the same time Chris Elliott, Matt Dillon and Ben Stiller also tried to win her heart. But the painkiller addiction is news to me.
Other revelations, I've been told by myself, that will appear in the hypothetical biography:
Chapter 1: Brett Favre runs a fire ant fighting ring in Mississippi, and tortures the losing ants with a magnifying glass.
Chapter 4: Brett Favre pays off local police offers to keep quiet his illegal sales of black market Prilosec.
Chapter 9: Brett Favre murders Dorsey Levens.
Chapter 12: The night before Super Bowl XXXI, Brett Favre walks down to the corner to buy a newspaper, but when he deposits 50 cents into the machine, he lifts up the door and takes two copies.
Chapter 13: Brett Favre and Mark Chmura place bets on a race between homeless people Green Bay, with the loser being forced to attend a post-prom party. Right before the race, Favre hires a hitman to shiv the homeless guy that Chmura bet on.
Chapter 17: Brett Favre murders Harry Potter.
And I've just learned that Favre threw his 421th career touchdown, breaking the record. Fitting.

brett favre biography

Born: 10 October 1969
Birthplace: Gulfport, Mississippi
Best Known As: The star 1990s quarterback who keeps un-retiring
The starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers from 1992-2007, Brett Favre has thrown more touchdown passes than any quarterback in NFL history. Like the career of Johnny Unitas, Favre's career had an inauspicious start: after being drafted by the NFL's Atlanta Falcons in 1991 (in the second round, the 33rd pick overall), he played only two games with Atlanta before being traded to Green Bay in 1992. He went on to win the NFL Most Valuable Player award three times (1995-97), led the Packers to a victory in Super Bowl XXXI (1996), and broke franchise passing records set by beloved Green Bay legend Bart Starr. Favre is known as a fierce competitor who likes to sling the ball; he also has a reputation for toughness and for shrugging away injuries, and he holds the record for most consecutive starts among NFL quarterbacks. In his last few years with Green Bay, Favre hinted at retirement; he finally did retire in March of 2008, but then unretired in August of that year, and the Packers traded him to the New York Jets. After a strong start, the Jets finished that season poorly and Favre again retired from football. But! He un-retired again in 2009, signing a two-year contract to play for the Minnesota Vikings.
Favre broke the record for touchdown passes on 30 September 2007, when he threw his 421st and 422nd against the Minnesota Vikings in a 23-16 Packer win... Favre shared the 1997 NFL MVP award with Detroit running back Barry Sanders... Favre is the first and only NFL player to win the MVP award three seasons in a row.

Minnesota is where Sarah Palin magically gets her accent. It also looks like a hat. Lame.Pennsylvania has two notable cities, one with wonderful sports teams and fans. What lies in between those two cities either doesn’t count, or is a land of nice people that just happen to make homage to the Jaromir Jagr mullet on a daily basis.
Brett Favre profile
So here we are with another NFL football season upon us. Change is to be expected. There will be some new rules on the boards and revisions made to old ones. Teams, players and coaches have changed locations. One thing that no one factored into the new upcoming NFL season is Brett Favre. Yes sports fans it is true, Brett Favre and all the drama surrounding him is set to take its ungratefull place in the 2009 NFL football season.
Flashback to the end of last season when Brett Favre announced he would retire as quarterback of the New York Jets. There was a collective sigh of relief heard around the league that there would be no BF drama in the off season. Who could forget the temper tantrum that played out between Favre and the Green Bay Packers at the end of the 2007 season. All was quiet on the Favre off season front until the New York Jets removed him from their ‘reserve/retired’ list paving the way for new team colors for BF. This time around the lucky team in Favre’s sight line was the Minnesota Vikings.
There was initial interest on both sides for a deal to be reached that would make Favre a Viking. The team asked and got no response. Favre inquired and got no response. Both sides remained fairly quiet to the media. Fast forward to today when the Vikings eagerly awaited a response from Favre camp. As the day progressed with no answer in sight, inquiring minds heard a simple ‘nope’ when asking Favre’s agent if an answer would appear before the stroke of midnight. Instead Favre answer time has been moved to early next week.
Once upon a time Brett Favre was regarded as one of the best players to take center stage in the NFL. His records spoke for themselves. His playing ability on the field left many speechless. All of this has been erased in the minds of players, coaches and sports fans thanks to the drama filled off-seasons of 2007 and 2008. Gone are the MVP and Superbowl seasons of the 90’s. Gone is the September 2006 game when he became only the second quarterback to register 400 touchdown passes. Gone is the 2007 season ending game where he scored his 18th consecutive post-season touchdown pass, a team record. It was to be on that shinning moment that Favre walked away from the game with his head held high.
Today Favre’s head can no longer be held up high. Your guess is as good as mine as to whether Favre will make an NFL appearance ‘just one more time’ this season. What I would like to know is who in the hell Brett Favre thinks he is? Seriously – enough already! Put on your big boy underpants and make a flippin decision already. Not that anyone cares one way or another. We would just like to put all the Favre drama behind us and move forward. All the drama, all the tears, all the speculation has added up to one thing – a big headache. Favre has tarnished his reputation, his records and his image in the minds of players, coaches and sports fans. These are things that are not soon forgotten in the sports world. I just hope that the ride to whatever Brett Favre is seeking has been worth his fall from grace!
Brett Favre
Yesterday marked the end of an era. One of the greatest QBs to ever play in the NFL hung up his cleats for the last time. He was great because he played full-out. He left nothing in the tank and everything on the field. He played to win. There are many people in life that rather than playing to win, they play to avoid losing. Playing to win is an entirely different mindset, and it is what separates average performers from high performers. He was not afraid to take risks because he had no fear of losing. Losing was not the worst thing that could happen. Giving less than everything in order to win was.
I watched with sadness as he said his goodbyes. He was gripped with the emotion of a man who was passionate about what he did, who he did it with, and who he did it for. There are a lot of lessons that run in parallel with my post from yesterday (Burning Man). But I’d like to highlight a few parting quotes from Favre:
Brett Favre
We had the great pleasure of being invited by Tommie Harris to travel to Green Bay and see him and the Chicago Bears take on (…AND BEAT, of course…) the Green Bay Packers on October 7, 2007. GO BEARS! This was the game Brett Favre threw for 424 touchdowns, setting one more record. Wow! Actually, I think he set several records during this game. Tommie was with the team, focusing on the game, but he managed to grab some dinner with us at the hotel before the game. After dinner we went to the game with Bill Horn, Tommie’s Publicity Agent, and sat with some of Tommie’s friends, which included his pastor from Chicago. It was a blessing to meet and enjoy the game with them! Great guys! It was a clutch time, for sure! The atmosphere was incredible, the Green Bay fans were fun and friendly… it was good times and amazing to be at such a legendary place. And man, do the Green Bay fans love Brett! Don’t we all! Watching Brett run out on that field was absolutely surreal! The whole experience was surreal.
Tommie told me, a couple of weeks before this game, that Brett was one of the only QBs he ‘had NOT’ sacked! And he was able to sack him twice in this game. Bret & his Packers played a tough game, and Brett was his usual amazing self, but my Bears prevailed and Tommie’s play was ‘clutch!’ It was an exciting, ‘edge-of-your-seat ‘ game to the last second. Here are just a few photos of our memorable trip. Hope you enjoy! And Tommie, thanks, we love you and will never forget it!

I just can’t do another offseason of Brett Favre and his desire to play football after “retiring.”
Favre is scheduled to meet with Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress later this week to discuss the possibility of coming back (once effin again) for the
2009 season.
I don’t wish injury upon any athlete normally, but it would bring me joy if he got Tom Brady’ed Week 1 of the NFL season and was gone for the year.
Why the Vikings by the way?
Besides the fact he would get to play alongside Adrian Peterson, he would get two cracks at the Green Bay Packers during the regular season.
Nothing would make the ageless wonder happier than burning Green Bay at Lambeau Field.
And nothing would make me happier than Packers linebacker Nick Barnett putting Favre on his back.
Brett Favre
From the Green Bay Press-Gazette: If Brett Favre signs to play quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings in the next week or two, his family and friends will be ready for his one game back in Green Bay
About two months ago, a member of Favre’s inner circle blocked off 25 to 30 rooms at the Midway Motor Lodge near Lambeau Field for the weekend of the Vikings game against the Packers on Nov. 1.
